Position Summary:

eBusiness Administrator (EDI Administrator) is responsible to monitor daily inbound and outbound EDI and TMS files. The successful candidate will have experience with identifying EDI IDOC errors and work with minimal direction. This role uses analytical skills, business knowledge and customer history.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Monitor daily EDI / TMS IDOC processing
  • Responsible for communicating EDI and TMS production system problems, translation and integration failures
  • Provide daily support for EDI IDOC errors, including TMS shipment errors (technical issues, troubleshooting all EDI sending and receiving problems including TMS)
  • Assist with EDI trading partner relationships in SAP
  • Assist with setup of new trading partners in SAP
  • Assist with setup and maintaining EDI Master Data in SAP
  • Assist with maintaining EDI documentation for trading partner cross reference tables in SAP
  • Communicate with internal employees, external trading partners and consultants with regards to EDI and TMS as needed
  • Educate and train users on why and how processes and transactions are conducted with respect to EDI messages
  • Test inbound and outbound EDI messages as needed
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and work with global team/end-users

Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of SAP order processing experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience with EDI messages
  • Strong understanding of SAP order processing, deliveries and invoicing
  • Experience with basic EDI principles and EDI guidelines
  • Experience with EDI Processing and Customer Service (experience with dealing with trading partners)
  • Good understanding of end-to-end business processes from order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, etc
  • Experience with dealing with end business users
  • Experience troubleshooting translation failures
  • Experience with unit testing methods and assisting users with UAT of EDI solutions
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Industry certification or related business area is desirable.
  • Ability to address short-term tactical requirements without losing site of the longer-range strategic direction
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving
