    SUMMARY OF DUTIES Preparing and coding material usage documents on material order, receipts issues, transfers, repairs, returns and maintains a continuing Amtrak inventory control system. Will be required to do cycle counts of inventory. All other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor or Foreman. Applicant will be required to input data into the SAP system. WORK EXPERIENCE Demonstrated Warehouse experience, loading and unloading trucks. Stocking Shelves, creating storage locations, Cycle Counting and using Bar Code Scanners. Setting up and taking down material racking, create shipping Bill Of Laden and handle Chemicals safely. Computer Management of Inventory. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift and move any and all materials received and issued as required. Must be able to check, verify, and input material requisition forms into SAP system. Must be forklift qualified at the close of bulletin. Must be able to perform all clerical functions related to performance of these duties and operate all material control equipment as well as other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. Must have computer knowledge and familiar with SAP and EXACTA Barcode Inventory Management System. Must be able to work harmoniously with others in a high-pressure environment. Must obey the “Material Control Employee” Safety Rules and Amtrak Standards of Excellence. Must have vald California Drivers License.     SUMMARY OF DUTIES Responsible for inspection, testing and maintenance of electrical, electronic and HVAC systems on rolling stock equipment and components in accordance with FRA and Amtrak standards and guidelines. Works on electrical systems and components with AC and DC voltage. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs inspection, testing and maintenance in accordance with 49CFR regulations and Amtrak standards and guidelines Utilizes a variety of test equipment, PC and graphic information to diagnose malfunctions, troubleshoot and qualify components and circuits to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures Repairs and/or replaces doors, electronics, signs, pantographs and HVAC systems Installs components such as motors, generators, switches, relays, batteries and transformers Performs approved electrical modifications and repairs or replaces components, as necessary Troubleshoots equipment to determine corrective actions and causes of equipment failures Maintains proper care and use of materials, test equipment, machines and hand tools normally associated with assigned job. WORK EXPERIENCE Experience in electrical repairs, and testing advanced electrical/electronic systems and reading, drafting, and interpreting circuit diagrams, schematics and mechanical drawings Experience in both A/C and D/C electrical systems Must successfully complete training and attain/retain certifications applicable to assigned job Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems Ability to troubleshoot using schematics and multimeters Knowledge and skill in the use of electrical tools, equipment and the measurements necessary to meet established standards. Some computer skills PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE Experience in the maintenance of railroad equipment. PREFERRED EDUCATION Completion of technical school or apprenticeship program.
