AMPAC Fine Chemicals (AFC) is a custom manufacturer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs, Drug Substances) and registered intermediates for customers in the pharmaceutical industry. Our integrated facilities located in California, Texas, and Virginia specialize in process development, scale-up, and cGMP compliant production from kilograms to multi-ton quantities.

Provides direction to bargaining unit personnel guided by established policies and precedents. Interprets and executes policies that typically affect individual employees of section. May provide technical and administrative supervision to an operational unit within a manufacturing area. Schedules and utilizes personnel, material and facilities to ensure that schedules and goals are met. Establishes and maintains a variety of records and reports monitoring internal operating controls.  May inspect and coordinate maintenance of equipment. May provide training in manufacturing techniques, policies and procedures and/or safety and environmental procedures. Will be responsible for union contract administration including responding to grievances and understanding contract interpretation.  Majority of liaison is on internal basis with subordinates and immediate supervisor/managers.  Liaison normally involves specific phases of project(s), program(s) or operation(s). May represent the manufacturing function in meetings and discussions with other functional areas regarding manufacturing standards and operations.  BS Degree highly preferred. Engineering discipline highly preferred. Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes. Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills. Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
